Origin: From Northern India, naturalised in Brazil

Traditional herbal uses: Lace ferns are one of many species which grow in the rainforests as well as drier tropical Latin American forests. Samambaia has been traditionally used as a blood cleanser, for upper respiratory problems and fevers, rheumatism and skin problems. It is also used for urinary infections and painful joints and tendons.

Energetic properties:
-Opens and expands the heart chakra

This plant was nearly dead when my first husband rescued it = though Gerry is gone, “Geralidinho” (“little Gerry”) has provided abundant cuttings and love to those of us left behind.
